JOHN MCCAIN Republican John Sidney McCain III was born on August 29, 1936. He is currently the senior United States Presidential nominee for the Republican Party. John Mc Cain has seven children: Doug, Sidney, Andy, Meghan, Jack, Jimmy, and Bridget. Mc Cain was first elected to the House of Representatives in November, 1982, where he served as congressman until 1986 when he was elected to the U.S. Senate.
